(劫財 / Jie Cai — usually translated "Rob Wealth" — is the element that matches the Day
Master's own element but the opposite polarity: same element, opposite side. It is 比肩's
sibling — one classed as the "brother," the other the "sister/younger sibling.")
The short answer
The classics place 比肩 and 劫財 together as siblings — but not as identical ones:
又有以偏印為繼母，比肩為兄，劫財為弟者，亦每有驗。

The family-role labels are the same "sibling" category as 比肩 — but the name itself, 劫
= "to rob, to seize," already signals the difference that matters more.
What the name is actually describing
Where 比肩 stands beside the Day Master as support, the classics describe 劫財's default
tendency as competing for the same resource the Day Master needs — Wealth:
月令偏財生官，劫財重重，喜得甲己相合，官星之情，專向日主，制住比劫，使不能爭財，所謂用官制
劫護財也。
*"[In a chart where] the month command is Indirect Wealth generating the Officer, and Jie
Cai appears repeatedly — it is favorable when [a stem combination] ties the Officer's
attention exclusively to the Day Master, **restraining the Companion-and-Rob-Wealth group
so they cannot compete for the Wealth.** This is what is called 'using the Officer to
restrain Rob Wealth and protect the Wealth.'"*
The verb the text uses is 爭財 — "to contend for Wealth." That is the specific behavior
劫財 is named for and watched for: not simply "a sibling is present," but "something that
would take a share of what the Wealth star represents, if left unchecked."
Why this isn't automatically bad
Being named "Rob Wealth" doesn't mean 劫財 is a flaw to eliminate. The same body of theory
elsewhere treats 比劫 (Companion-and-Rob-Wealth together) as useful support when a chart has
too much Wealth or Seal relative to the Day Master — dividing an excess is exactly the
service 劫財 provides in that situation. Whether it "robs" or "shares appropriately" depends,
as with every Ten God, on what else is in the chart — specifically, on whether the Day
Master and its Wealth actually need protecting from it, or need its help distributing a
surplus.
How we read it
KLifeMap's engine reads 劫財 the way 論財 and its related chapters do: by what it does to
the balance between the Day Master and the Wealth in the chart, not by a fixed
"good/bad" label attached to its name. The same element that "robs" in one chart can "help
carry" in another.
