Venus has been retrograde since early October 2026, and on October 24 at about 17:58 UTC it backed out of Scorpio and into Libra. That is October 25 in East Asia and Australia, which is why some calendars give the 25th. Venus stays in Libra until December 4, 2026, then returns to Scorpio for a third pass.

Venus stood still and turned retrograde in early October at about 8° Scorpio. On October 23 it passed between Earth and the Sun (its inferior conjunction, at 0.5° Scorpio). A day later it crossed back over the Libra–Scorpio line. It turns direct around November 14 at about 22.5° Libra.
Three times the usual stay
In a year without a retrograde, Venus crosses a sign in about 24–25 days. In 2027, for example, it is in Libra from September 14 to October 8. In 2026 the retrograde stretches both signs:

What the numbers do and don't tell you
Which sign Venus is in is astronomy. Astrology reads Venus in Libra as a time when relationships and balance are in focus, and Venus retrograde as a time to revisit them. That is an interpretation, and this table cannot prove or disprove it. It can tell you where Venus is, to within a few hundredths of a degree.
How we calculated: planetary positions from the public-domain formulas in our chart engine (Meeus, Astronomical Algorithms, and NASA/JPL low-precision orbital elements). A planet is counted as retrograde when its apparent longitude, seen from Earth, decreases over a day; stations were searched hour by hour. Sign changes were found hour by hour and refined to the minute; treat each time as accurate to within a few minutes.
