A daily horoscope is usually twelve short paragraphs — one per zodiac sign — written once and read by everyone born under that sign, regardless of anything else about them. That's not a criticism of the format; it's just worth naming, because it explains why the same "Leo" horoscope can feel dead-on to one Leo and irrelevant to another.
What a sun-sign horoscope can and can't do
Your sun sign is one placement in your chart, decided by your birth date alone. A daily horoscope written for "Leo" describes how the day's planetary transits interact with the sun's position in a typical Leo chart — it says nothing about your moon sign, your rising sign, or where the other seven planets sat when you were born. Two Leos with different birth times and places can have almost nothing else in common astrologically.
What changes if you use your full chart instead
The transits that shape a "daily horoscope" line — where the moon or a fast-moving planet sits today — land differently depending on which house of your chart they're passing through, not just which zodiac sign. A transit through your natal 10th house (career) reads differently than the same transit through your 4th house (home), even for two people with the same sun sign.
