What a bazi compatibility reading actually measures — and what it refuses to say
These are the questions we actually receive, word for word:
can bazi predict marriage how to check bazi compatibility How about to find husband's season of birth from spouse palace?
Short answer first: we do not predict when you will marry. We read a disposition. Here is the difference, and why it matters.
(1) What the chart is
Korean four-pillar astrology (사주, saju) and Chinese bazi are the same method.
Your birth moment is written as four pairs of characters — year, month, day, hour.
Eight characters total. That is the whole input.
| Pillar | What it is usually read for |
|---|---|
| Year | roots, family, early life |
| Month | the season you were born into — your standing in the outside world |
| Day | you, and the character below it is the spouse palace |
| Hour | later life, children, endings |
The "spouse palace" you asked about is the lower character of the day pillar.
That is the seat a compatibility reading looks at first.
(2) What we read from it
✅ The element of the spouse seat — what kind of person sits easily with you ✅ Its relation to your day master — do you lean, or do you carry ✅ When a luck cycle touches that seat — when relationships move to the front of your life
That last line is the closest thing to "timing" we produce. Note what it is not:
it is not the year you marry. It is a period when relationships take up more room.
Some people marry then. Some people separate then. Some people notice nothing.
(3) What we refuse to say
⛔ "You will marry at 32." ⛔ "This person is right for you." / "Do not marry this person." ⛔ "Your compatibility score is 78%."
Not because the method cannot produce a number — it easily can, and many services do.
We refuse because there is no way to check whether the number was right. Marriage is decided by people. Two people with identical charts live in different countries, meet different people, and want different things. The chart does not decide.
⭐ If a reading tells you a year, ask how it would ever be shown wrong.
That question is worth more than the reading.
(4) "Is it accurate?"
We get this one constantly — how accurate is bazi, is bazi real.
It deserves its own answer rather than a line here, and we would rather show you what the method can and cannot see than argue about it.
(5) About animal signs
Many people arrive through the twelve animals — rat, ox, tiger and so on.
That is one character out of eight (the lower character of the year pillar).
Deciding compatibility from it alone means everyone born in the same year gets the same answer. We wrote about that separately:
→ Do animal signs decide compatibility?
In short
We read the spouse seat, its relation to you, and when it becomes active We do not read wedding dates, ages, or whether to marry a particular person
Saying plainly what we cannot see is the line we hold.
