A Saturn return is the stretch of time when Saturn comes back to the place in the zodiac it occupied when you were born. It takes Saturn about 29½ years to go around once, so the first return arrives in your late twenties, the second around 59, and the third in your late eighties.
Most Saturn-return articles give an age range and stop there. We calculated it instead: using the same planetary-position engine behind our birth charts, we found exactly where Saturn travels during 2026, then found every birth date when Saturn sat in that same stretch of sky.
Where Saturn is in 2026
In 2026 Saturn moves from the last degrees of Pisces (about 356°) into Aries, reaching about 14½° of Aries in mid-year before turning back for a few months. If your natal Saturn sits anywhere between late Pisces and mid-Aries, Saturn passes over it this year.
Birth dates with a Saturn return in 2026
| Which return | Born between | Age in 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| First | March 5, 1996 – May 4, 1997 | about 29–30 |
| First | November 12, 1997 – January 18, 1998 | about 28–29 |
| Second | April 26 – October 1, 1966 | about 59–60 |
| Second | January 19, 1967 – March 23, 1968 | about 58–59 |
| Third | March 15, 1937 – May 15, 1938 | about 88–89 |
| Third | October 20, 1938 – February 5, 1939 | about 87–88 |
The ranges come in two pieces because Saturn itself moved backward for part of each of those years: it passed through the same degrees, went back, then crossed again.
Why your exact date matters
Being born in one of those ranges means Saturn crosses your natal Saturn at some point during 2026, not necessarily all year. Someone born in March 1996 has natal Saturn near the start of the range, so the return falls early in 2026; someone born in early 1997 has it further on, so the crossing comes later. Some people near the edges of these ranges began their return in 2025 or will finish it in 2027.
If you were born just outside these dates, your return is close but not this year: Saturn reaches you in 2025 or 2027 instead.
What the numbers do and don't tell you
These dates are astronomy: where Saturn was when you were born and where it is now. Astrology traditionally reads the first Saturn return as a time of taking on adult responsibility and reassessing commitments. That reading is an interpretation, and these numbers cannot prove or disprove it. What they can tell you precisely is whether the return is happening to you this year.
How we counted: daily check at noon (UTC). Saturn's 2026 range is the lowest and highest apparent longitude it reaches during the calendar year; birth ranges are every day from 1934–2000 when Saturn sat inside that range. The engine uses public low-precision orbital elements, so range edges can shift by a day or two compared with high-precision almanacs. For your exact crossing dates, use your own chart.
