Aquarius runs from roughly January 20 to February 18 — the Sun moving through the eleventh sign of the zodiac. In the classical tradition this site builds its engine on, its ruling planet is Saturn, its element is air, its modality is fixed (Ptolemy, Tetrabiblos I.17–18). Modern astrology often assigns Aquarius a second, "modern" ruler — but that's a 20th-century addition tied to a planet unknown to the ancient sources; we stick to the seven bodies visible to the naked eye, the same seven the classical dignity tables were built on. That much is settled the day you're born, no birth time needed. What we wanted to know is something more specific: among the public figures we've actually measured, how many are Aquarius — and does that number mean anything?
The real count — 281 K-pop idols, run through the same engine
We took 281 K-pop idols with a birth date verified on Wikidata and ran each one through KLifeMap's own astrology engine — the same calculation, the same rules, every time. 28 of them are Aquarius, tied with Virgo for the highest count in the dataset.
That's about 10% of the group. If birthdays were spread evenly across the year, you'd expect close to 1 in 12 per sign — about 8.3%, or roughly 23–24 people out of 281. Aquarius's 28 sits a little above that, the same modest gap Virgo showed in our last piece, and Cancer and Scorpio came in lower (17 each). We're not calling this a pattern. A couple of signs landing slightly above an even split, and a couple landing below, is exactly what ordinary variation looks like — not evidence that Aquarius is "more common" among K-pop idols. If a gap ever turns up large enough to matter, we'll say so, with the math shown.

What a Sun sign is, and what it isn't
Your Sun sign is fixed by your birth date alone — it doesn't move within a single day, so no birth time is needed to know it. But it's only one placement in a full chart. The Moon, the rising sign (Ascendant), and the houses all depend on the exact hour and place you were born, and some of them can flip within a two-hour window.
